What is Parish Nursing?
A parish nurse is a professional registered nurse who delivers primary, whole person nursing service in the congregations across the health span for the purpose of helping members to achieve and maintain optimal spiritual, mental, physical, psycho-social, and environmental health. The parish nurse is a member of the ministerial team who has received specialized training in parish nursing.
The Clinic and Parish Nursing Project was developed by CHS to more completely fulfill its vision of caring for the under-served and promoting the health of the community through the local congregations.

For More Information
For any questions about how your church can benefit from having a parish nurse on staff or as a volunteer, please call Parish Nurse Coordinator, Bob Gionet at (920) 319-1961. In addition to providing training, support, and guidance to staff parish nurses, CHS offers this same support to volunteer parish nurses serving their congregations in and around Dodge County through monthly parish nurse meetings, and various training opportunities. We have programs to assist churches in recruiting and training parish nurses to serve in this important ministry.
Do you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with you body.
