Counseling Services for Children

CHS promotes a full wellness component providing children, teens and young adults with the opportunity of receiving counseling services. Our counselors able to provide a number of therapy options;
  • play therapy
  • animal therapy
  • talk therapy
  • art therapy

This allows us to make the client’s time a positive and fruitful experience by creating an environment where they can move around, play and create things. These activities often help them to open up about situations and feelings and time is spent in building trust and rapport between therapist and client.

We believe it’s as important to heal the hurts of the heart as it is the physical wounds.  Young clients can learn at an early age to reshape how they think and choose to act, while they cope with life’s challenges. In general, psychotherapy clients are better off after therapy than they were before therapy, and better off than 80% of untreated persons.
