Position Title: Executive Director

Overview:
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive leader of Church Health Services. This individual provides visionary and strategic leadership to advance the organization’s mission and is responsible for overseeing all operational, financial, and programmatic functions. This includes responsibility for fundraising, grant writing, financial development, public relations, advocacy, and community engagement to further the mission and vision of Church Health Services.
Key Responsibilities:
The Executive Director's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Act as the primary public representative and spokesperson for Church Health Services
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to ensure optimal use of financial and human resources in alignment with the organization’s mission and vision
- Lead the development and prioritization of short- and long-term organizational goals, as approved and supported by the Board of Directors
- Serve as the main liaison between the organization and the Board of Directors, assisting with specific board activities and projects as directed
- Manage, supervise, and evaluate all employees; recommend hiring, termination, and staffing adjustments to the Board of Directors as needed
- Maintain the organization’s Personnel Handbook, job descriptions, and related documentation
- Drives fundraising and development efforts to support the mission, goals, and objectives for the organization.
- Solicit, write and manage grant proposals, submissions, and ongoing relationships with public and private funding partners.
- Build and sustain relationships with donors, public officials, community leaders, and partners to build, strengthen and sustain the organization
- Advocate for and promote services and resources that benefit the community at local, state, and national levels
- Develop and oversee the organization’s annual income and expense budget, subject to Board approval
- Address and resolve day-to-day operational and organizational challenges
- Create and distribute public communications, including press releases, newsletters, and promotional materials
- Represent the organization at key community events to raise awareness and build support
- Ensure that the physical facilities, equipment, and resources of the organization are secure, well-maintained, and properly managed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Primary gifts, talents, and qualifications:
- Clear understanding and passion for the mission and vision of Church Health Services
- Faith in Christ
- Prior successful management experience in a for-profit or non-profit business.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, financial management, budgeting, and staff supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of compassion and employee well-being.
- Track record of setting and achieving organizational goals and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and standard office software.
- Experience in healthcare and/or serving low-income populations is highly desirable.
- Strong grant writing and grant management skills are essential.
- A master’s degree is preferred; however, a bachelor’s degree with significant leadership experience or equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

- Able to work closely with the Board of Directors
- Ability to network and collaborate with community partners and non-profits
BEhavioral Health Clinicians (AODA, LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
We are currently seeking fully licensed (not under supervision) Behavioral Health Clinicians (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, AODA) to provide evidence-based, trauma-informed mental health care to individuals in our area. We have options for full-time, part-time, and volunteer positions. Clinicians may provide clinic or school-based counseling. Please refer to the list below for the criteria to be considered for a position with us:
Required:
- Possess current Wisconsin licenses, credentials in good standing, and liability insurance
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Experience working in school settings (if applicable)
- Spanish language skills
